Children arbitration scheme launches
January 11, 2016 Posted by: WebBoxResolution has today made this announcement about the new children arbitration scheme:
This is a scheme where disputes concerning the exercise of parental responsibility and other private law issues about the welfare of children may be resolved by arbitration.
For those members wishing to qualify as children arbitrators who have not yet qualified as an arbitrator, the first full two day course will be held on the 16-17 April 2016 at the CIArb, 12 Bloomsbury Square, London. The eligibility criteria for those wishing to train can be found in the new prospectus. The cost will be £1600 plus VAT.
There will also be a one day course for existing arbitrators to qualify as children arbitrators. We will make members aware of the details when they are available.
For any members who are interested in applying to train they can request an application form.
It is envisaged that the first children arbitrators will be available to take on children arbitrations in late March/April 2016, and we will inform members when they can start using the scheme once there is a firm date.
